Since the fall of 2016, a dedicated group of Cal Poly students - The Real Food Collaborative - has been gathering local and sustainable produce for students and community members. 


To support and advocate for a Cal Poly community with real, ethically sourced, sustainable, organic fruits and vegetables and to nurture the relationship between eaters and growers. Through our partnership with the Cal Poly Organic farm, food grown by students is returned to campus through our nourishing vegetable subscription program. We promote sustainable and ethical values surrounding healthy and sustainable living, and hope to inspire others to explore a more eco-friendly lifestyle. 

Educating students about food is the overarching initiative at the RFC. This goal is reflected in their partnership with the Cal Poly Organic Farm. The Organic Farm grows their produce on campus without chemicals.
